Ouch.
To think what $20 could do in the name of Jesus.
So we were celebrating a birthday, but funnily enough, we did not touch on the subject of Jesus at all. Plus, should that occassion be an excuse to give in? Birthdays should be a celebration of the life given to us by God when we don't deserve it at all.
This really has made me think about the luxuries we indulge in.

What is fellowship supposed to be anyway? Is it biblically defined at all?

I'll be praying that God reveals the answers to your questions soon.

- Alli from Study LoungeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-882913562498584150.post-30311584260224211732010-07-19T04:54:50.786-07:002010-07-19T04:54:50.786-07:00i really like those questions. keep us posted on h...i really like those questions. keep us posted on how you work them out, i'd like to piggy backAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04345656882050062850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-882913562498584150.post-21947365439070381062010-07-08T13:58:24.757-07:002010-07-08T13:58:24.757-07:00While I can talk about indie music, none of those ...While I can talk about indie music, none of those other church stereotypes really apply to me...honestly, the inability to relate in any church setting...has always been related to the willingness of a group to spend face to face time with each other.

what we're taught in church, is a theology of celebration and management since we are "haves"...but around the world, ppl need to hear the theology of suffering, where as a people we cry out and wait for God's reply and mercy to pour out on us.

what needs to be taught, and is taught in many churches, is how to combine the two, and act as vessels/agents of mercy relating our celebration/management discipline with those who are suffering. and not merely just be able to empathize with those who suffer.David Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05317781756724414799noreply@blogger.com
